If you are reading this or watched the Super Bowl you are probably familiar with numerous signs that denounce violence. My favorite was “The Only Thing That Beats Hatred Is Love.” Love is the way to non-violence.

The ECR Social Justice Committee is focusing on Non-Violence this year and will begin with reflections during Lent. In case you missed it, Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday – yes, two days away. We invite you to consider what non-violence requires of us besides refraining from physical violence.
