Easter Is Near – Eastertide Offering

How quickly time flies; it seems Ash Wednesday was just a short time ago. On Sunday we had both the triumphal entrance to Jerusalem at the beginning and also the Passion story. Tomorrow Jesus hosts the supper during which he institutes the Sacrament of the Eucharist and gives, as well as demonstrates, his last instructions about how to. It is striking that Jesus said nothing harsh to Judas. He knew what Judas was going to do and only told him to do what he needed to do. An incredible action without violence. That degree of non-violence demands hard work but is necessary in all of us.

The Diocesan Social Justice Committee is offering a series of videos created by Rev. John Dear, Founder of the Beatitudes Center, to inspire us to follow Jesus in non-violence. Beginning each Thursday throughout Eastertide at 6:30 PM on April 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21 on Zoom. All are invited! There is no cost. Please register at the following link: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/L9FuXM_ET2-vNS4rFbH0xQ . I hope to see many of you. Peace!
