There are two things for us to do now: Pray and Vote.
There are several opportunities for prayer.
Prayers for a Peaceful Election: there is nothing more important in a democracy than a peaceful and fair election, and there is nothing more powerful than prayer. The Social Justice Committee invites you to join in a short on-line prayer service for the election on Thursdays at 1pm starting October 10. At noon on Election Day, November 5, join Bishop Lucinda for noonday prayers. Here is the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84155212061
The Episcopal Church offers Prayers of the People, suggestions for hymns and other resources for Vote Faithfully Sunday, November 3rd. You can find these in their Election Engagement Toolkit.
And from the Book of Common Prayer p.822:
Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States in the election of officials and representatives; that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the right so fall may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfil your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
